The images were sent to the corporate drug company Walgreens from whom a custom coffee cup featuring the image was ordered. The form was then printed and subsequently cast in the same materials used in teacup designs and productions. The saucer rim can be placed underneath the bottom lip of the drinker and is designed to catch extra drool, spittle, and backwash, and return it to the drink through the peripheral vision of the user. His work has been exhibited regionally and internationally. A 2009 graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art, some of his recent exhibitions include At Your Service at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, WA, Convergence and Transcendence, the 2015 Geyonggi International Ceramics Biennial in Icheon, South Korea, Nothing is the Same, Again at A-B Projects in Claremont, CA, Them Are Us Too at Ash Street Project in Portland, OR, and Transform, Transmit at Open Mind Art Space in Los Angeles, CA. He is a recipient of a 2013 Louis Comfort Tiffany Award.
